Zyxel Prestige 792H SHDSL Remote Management Config
This guide takes you through the first steps of setting up the Zyxel for remote management .

- From the main menu click on Remote Management and ensure all interfaces are set to ‘ALL’ and 0.0.0.0, as below.


Then, go back to the main menu and under Advanced Settings go to Firewall / Internet to Local Network Set / Rule Summary

Click on the No 2 (No 1 BOOTP_CLIENT entry is always set by default), and add the relevant details, Source IP which is the external IP you are accessing from, Destination IP which can be left blank, and also the HTTP service and ensure the ‘Action for matched packets’ is set to forward and then Click on the ‘Apply’ button.
You must click the logout button to allow another Administrator to Login. If you do not utilize the Logout button you may be locked out of the Zyxel.
If you happen to get locked out of the GUI, you can telnet to the router to get to the command line interface. 
Select option 24 (System Maintenance), option 11 (Remote Management), ensure all interfaces are set to 0.0.0.0 

Go back to the Main Menu, select option 21 (Filter & Firewall Setup), option 2 (Firewall Setup)


Ensure Policy Rules are set to ‘Active : NO’, Press Enter to confirm , go back to the main menu , then option 24 (System Maintenance) , option 4 (Diagnostic) , option 21 – Reboot System and retry the GUI.
